"Creating something with our hands that we can see evolve physically is the most satisfying thing for us."
We are an Auckland-based collective of three mates: Nick, Callum, and Kirk.
We first got together to build a clothes rack for a friend. Then another friend wanted one, and another, and another. Things have quickly progressed from there to the point that we’re now doing full commercial fitouts for Auckland bars and cafes.
We’ve all got day-jobs and spend hours sitting at our computer screens in the office so it’s nice to have the outlet in the evenings to make furniture and use our hands to build something other than spreadsheets. Creating something with our hands that we can see evolve physically is the most satisfying thing for us. It’s relaxing.
The best part from the client’s perspective is that they can watch it evolve. They can touch it, feel it, see it and we can adapt it to fit their needs. We are driven to create pieces that are functional and long-lasting. If anything, our furniture is over-engineered. You could set fire to it and throw it out of a high-rise building and it would still be fine.
